CLISP is available via anonymous FTP from ma2s2.mathematik.uni-karlsruhe.de [129.13.115.2], directory /pub/lisp/clisp/, and from ftp.cs.cmu.edu [128.2.206.173], directory user/ai/lang/lisp/impl/clisp/. CLISP is a Common Lisp implementation by Bruno Haible and Michael Stoll. It mostly supports the Lisp described by "Common LISP: The Language (2nd edition)" and the ANSI Common Lisp standard. CLISP includes an interpreter, a byte-compiler, a large subset of CLOS and a foreign language interface. The user interface language (English, German, French) can be chosen at run time. An X11 API is available through CLX and Garnet. CLISP needs only 2 MB of memory and runs on all kinds of Unix systems and on many microcomputers (including MS-DOS systems, OS/2, Windows NT, Windows 95, Amiga 500-4000, and Acorn RISC PC).
