University of Utah DNS Services
The machine ipalloc.utah.edu is the master DNS server for the University of Utah, parts of Westnet, and parts of UEN. From this WWW interface, authorized users can show, edit, and delete DNS data for zones or subnets that they administer.

NSLookup
- NSLookup is a utility to query a name server for information. This is a WWW interface to the Unix nslookup utility.

If you manage another name server for the University of Utah and need a named.boot file for your server, here is one that will make you secondary for everything at the University of Utah.
Managing DNS Data
The tools are password protected to prevent unauthorized use. You can look at the tools, but you will not be able to run them without a password.

The current version of these tools is avaliable for download for use on your own DNS server. The tools require Perl 5.0 and a working knowledge of DNS.
