Introduction

This is the centerpoint of individual device management. It's divided into 5 sections (General Info, Modules, Vlans, Links and Interfaces), which correspond to the tables Devices and those using the same title as above of course.

Important!

Due to performance and device handling reasons, only uptime, interface operational status and interface last change is realtime. Everthing else is retrieved from the database.

Usage

Small graphs can be displayed with the interfaces . Otherwhise the counter values are shown over a neutral, resp. blue background (if there has been traffic detected).

Node population is available as well. This field shows up with a blue background, if the IF is in the tracking table. The last occurence will be revealed upon hovering over it.

IF status changes and IF errors will be highligthed on “dramatic” values. The idea behind this whole coloration scheme is to quickly tell you, whether the IF is active or hasn't been used for a while (so you can re-patch it).

The toolbar (in General Info) displays links based on device services and admin status.

Administrative functions are shown on the right side of the toolbar:

Fetches log on supported devices using Devices-Write.
Leads to Devices-Linked for quick link adjustments.
Sets CLI port to 0, with that nedi will retry to login upon the next discovery.
Adds this device to devdel table, which will be used to delete a device when finishing the next discovery (This mechanism prevents a device from popping up again, when deleted during a discovery, since devices are read at the start of a run).
