Operations Manager is a Web-based user interface of the DataFabric Manager server. You can use it to create reports on the health and performance of storage systems, to configure alerts to be sent to the applications that monitor the storage systems, and to manage NetApp storage systems. Operations Manager provides the following features:
Discovery—you can configure Operations Manager to detect storage systems, volumes, qtrees, logical unit numbers (LUNs), disks, and quotas. You can then view the results filtered by RBAC and user-defined grouping.
Monitoring and reporting—you can monitor the health, capacity utilization, and performance of devices and objects. You can also view or export reports, and create custom reports.
Alerting—you can configure alerts and thresholds for event management. Operations Manager generates event reports for the monitored systems, volumes, and qtrees. The DataFabric Manager server raises alerts for the configured events and sends the alerts through e-mail, pager, or by generating SNMP traps to other monitoring applications.
Create groups of devices, vFiler™ units, hosts, volumes, qtrees, and LUNs (based on geography, department, function, and so on)
Configure RBAC settings
Define group configuration management templates and apply those templates to one or more systems
Edit volume, qtree, or user quotas
Run Data ONTAP CLI commands simultaneously on multiple systems
Manage host users, user groups, domain users, local users, and host roles
