The answer is a qualified "no".  I believe I have heard of some people
using their IIgs monitor as a TV, so if you can get such an adaptor, you
could use it with an NTSC connection.

Nope, it's 60Hz, but it's a fixed frequency of around 15.75Mhz dot
clock.  Basically, it is close to NTSC standard, or so I've heard.  It
does support interlaced output to 640x400.  Best bet is to give it a
pass, though. :-(
