                  Whisker official release v2.0
-------------------------------------------------------------------

What is whisker 2.0:

The primary purpose of whisker 2.0 is to be a CGI scanner, which is
used to search for known vulnerable CGIs on websites. Whisker does
this by both scanning the the CGIs directly as well as crawling the
website in order to determine what CGIs are already currently in
use.

All whisker/libwhisker updates and related information is available
at the following URL:

Whisker 2.0 is an absolute minimal release available only to
CanSecWest delegates. Documentation and support are still in the
works; in the meantime, consider the code to be *alpha* quality.
That means if you break it, you get to keep both pieces. If you
are bent on using it now, then you will need to figure out how to
work it yourself. I suggest you start by looking at the command
line options.

Whisker 2.1 will be a full-features release, complete with
supporting documentation and updated tests. This release is only
to provide a preview to CanSecWest attendees.

NOTE: whisker 2.0 requires libwhisker 1.4 or greater to be
installed or available. However, there are known bugs in
libwhisker 1.4, so you should upgrade to 1.5 (or newer) when it is
made available.

Whisker's test (.test files) are maintained separately from whisker
itself. Updated .test files are made available through the main
whisker page (URL above).
