Hoplite version 1.0
2000 Freemont Avenue Software Inc.

Installation

To install Hoplite onto your computer, you must
run the Hoplite32.exe file, which will extract
the files into a 'c:\hoplite' directory on your
harddrive. The installation procedure will also
create a desktop icon, pointing to the file
'hoplite.bat' which will run the program script
when executed.

To successfully install and run Hoplite, you will
need at least 5 meg of free disk space, as well
as a version of the Java Runtime Environment
installed on your computer, with the correct
CLASSPATH and PATH statements adjusted in your
autoexec.bat file. The recommended version of the
JRE can be found at http://www.javasoft.com.

You will also need to install the Java Swing
library.

The accompanying hoplite.bat file assumes the
Java Runtime is installed in the \jre118 directory
and the Swing library in the \jre118\swing
directory.

Running Hoplite

Before you can run hoplite, you need to place a
copy of the trex.key file in your 'c:\trex'
directory. For information on how to do this,
consult your T.REX Admin guide.

To run Hoplite on your system, you can either
double-click on the Hoplite icon which was added
to your desktop, or by running the hoplite.bat
file which was installed by the Hoplite32.exe
program.
