The Hardware Certification Test Suite 2.4.1 Installation Guide provides procedures for installing the Hardware Certification Test Suite (HCTS). The HCTS application is used to certify systems and controllers to run with the Solaris Operating System (Solaris OS) on x86 platforms.
Note - This HCTS release runs on systems that use the x86 families of processor architectures. In this document, the term "x86" refers to 64-bit and 32-bit systems manufactured using processors compatible with the AMD64 or Intel Xeon/Pentium product families. Systems that are already certified appear in the Solaris OS Hardware Compatibility List at http://www.sun.com/bigadmin/hcl. This document cites any differences in running the HCTS on these different platform types.
This book is intended for independent hardware vendors (IHVs), hardware manufacturers, system integrators, and end users who want to certify their systems for use with the Solaris OS on x86 platforms.
