Requirements

• HP-UX 10.2, Solaris 2.6, AIX 4.3, IRIX 6.5, Red Hat Linux 5.2/6
• CD-ROM drive
• HP DesignJet 700, 1000, CP series or ColorPro CAD printer
• 32 MB RAM minimum; 64 MB RAM optimal
• 25 MB disk space for the Program directory where ZEHRaster Plus resides
• 200 MB minimum disk space for the temporary directory where temporary files will be created

Before you install ZEHRaster Plus

1. Set up the HP DesignJet printer.
2. Create an LP queue for the HP DesignJet printer.

To install ZEHRaster Plus

1. Insert the ZEHRaster Plus CD into a CD drive available to the machine where you will install ZEHRaster Plus.
2. Key in on the command line /cd_mount_dir/install.sh where cd_mount_dir is the name of the directory where the ZEHRaster Plus CD is mounted.
3. Select option 1: Install ZEHRaster Plus.
4. Follow the prompts in the installation procedure.

To support multiple LP queues

ZEHRaster Plus can be installed so that a single installation of software will support multiple LP queues. You may want to have multiple LP queues because you have more than one HP printer, or because you want to set up an LP queue for specific uses (e.g., one LP queue sends files in Best mode while another sends files in Draft mode).

Remember: ZEHRaster Plus should be installed only for use with the HP printer it accompanies.

1. Create the new LP queue you want to use, if necessary.
2. Key in on the command line /install_dir/manage_printer.sh where install_dir is the name of the directory where the ZEHRaster Plus was installed. (If ZEHRaster Plus was installed in the default directory, this location will be /opt/zehrasterplus.)
3. In the Manage Printers utility, select Add a New Printer.
4. Select the LP queue you created in Step 1.
5. Set the printer defaults as desired.

ZEHRaster Plus will display the list of available HP printers in a pulldown menu where users will select the printer they want to use.

To run an example file

To run an example file:

1. Make sure your DISPLAY environment variable is set correctly.
2. Run ZEHRaster Plus by keying in on the command line /install_dir/prg/zplus.exe where install_dir is the directory where ZEHRaster Plus was installed.
3. Browse to the installation directory and then to the examples directory.
4. Select zehlogo.tif to print.
5. Click Print.

You can register ZEHRaster Plus at http://www.zeh.com/zplus.

To uninstall ZEHRaster Plus

You can uninstall ZEHRaster Plus by simply removing the /install_dir directory and its subdirectories.
