ZEHRaster Plus provides a submittal tool on Windows NT and UNIX which allows a user to select a file for printing, to set attributes for the output image, and to submit the file for processing and printing.
|
|
|
| Windows NT |
To start ZEHRaster Plus, select:
Start >> Programs >> ZEHRaster Plus for HP >> ZEHRaster Plus for HP . |
| UNIX |
To start ZEHRaster Plus, key in on the command line:
/install_dir/prg/zplus.exe where install_dir is the full path to the directory where ZEHRaster Plus was installed. |
|
|
|
ZEHRaster Plus has a Main Window used to submit the file. A Preview Window is used to view the file before submittal.
ZEHRaster Plus's main window is used to select and submit the file for printing.
The Graphic File Information box allows you to select the file to print and the size at which the image should be printed.
| File Name | Key in the full path of the file to print and press the Tab key, or click Browse to select the file. | ||
| File Type | The submittal tool scans the file for its type. If you choose a file of an unsupported type, an error message is displayed. | ||
| Image Size |
You can set either the width or length of the image; the submittal tool maintains aspect ratio by automatically updating the other value.
|
||
| Units | Units may be set to either IN (inches) or CM (centimeters). This setting is reflected in the Size fields values. |
The Print Options box allows you to control the print quality and whether the image is printed in portrait or landscape mode.
| Print Quality | Available print qualities for HP DesignJet printers supported by ZEHRaster Plus include Best, Normal, and Fast. | ||||
| Paper Size |
The paper sizes available in the submittal tool depend on the HP printer model you are using with ZEHRaster Plus. For example, the HP DesignJet 2000 series printers can support either 24 inch or 36 inch papers, so you can select either 36 inch or 24 inch. The HP Design Jet 3000 series printer also supports 54 inch paper.
The paper size setting you provide helps ZEHRaster Plus calculate the greatest width available for the image. An abstract mode CGM does not have a physical size, but is measured in VDCs (Virtual Device Coordinates) which are mapped onto a physical measurement (in this case, either inches or centimeters). ZEHRaster Plus automatically maps the VDCs to the largest width available to the HP printer model you are using.
|
||||
| Rotate 90 Degrees | If this option is selected, the image will be printed in landscape mode (down the length of the paper) and the Size width and length values will be reversed to reflect the rotation. | ||||
| Reverse Black-White (CGM only) | This option switches the black and white colors of the selected CGM. All black elements are converted to white and all white elements are converted to black. |
The print status is reported here. After you click Print, the submittal tool will display the job's status until it is sent to the HP DesignJet printer. During this time, you may click Cancel to stop the job.
Also, a progress bar displays the progress of the job during processing.
Sends the file with the options you have set to ZEHRaster Plus.
