ZEHRaster Plus for HP Messages


The ZEHRaster Plus submittal tool provides information and error messages. The messages that may display and tips for troubleshooting any problems are provided below.

Solution
No print device has been configured to send output to. Please run the "Manage Printers" from the installation to select a valid print device. A printer must be set up before ZEHRaster Plus can be used.

Solution : Use the ZEHRaster Plus CD to set up a printer as described on the ZEHRaster Plus Installation card.



File selected is not supported by this product. ZEHRaster Plus supports TIFF, JPEG, and CALS raster Type I CCITT Group 4 files as well as CGM* files.

Solution : Select a file of one of these types.



Unknown error encountered while reading file information. A supported file has been selected but the submittal tool is unable to read the file.

A CGM may contain more elements than can be handled by ZEHRaster Plus, or because it is not a conforming CGM.

Solution : Select another file.



Image size exceeds printer limits. The image will be clipped. The size set for the image is larger than the paper being used by the printer (usually in width). As much of the image that can be printed will be, unless the user cancels the job submission.

Solution : Either allow the image to be printed and clipped, or click Cancel and resubmit the file at a size within the printer limits or rotated.



Unable to open file type previewer. No previewer is defined for the type of file you want to view, or the previewer application does not exist.

Solution : Use the ZEHRaster Plus CD to reinstall the software as described on the ZEHRaster Plus Installation card.



Creating printer-ready data. The file you have selected is being processed by ZEHRaster Plus.


Finished processing file -- successfully submitted to print device. This message appears after successful completion of processing and prior to printing.


Error occurred during generation of printer-ready data. ZEHRaster Plus was unable to run the necessary ZEH software, encountered a problem with the file, or was unable to generate the files necessary for successful print output.

Solution : Check the disk space available in the temp directory. If the directory is full, delete any unnecessary files and submit your file again. If the error message appears again, contact your HP or ZEH support group for assistance.

Also, there may be a problem with the file itself.



Sending output to printer_name. The data is being sent to the printer queue.


Error occurred while submitting to printer. ZEHRaster Plus was unable to send the printer data to the print queue for the printer.

Solution : Check to be sure a print queue (either a Windows queue on Windows NT or an lp queue on UNIX) exists and is running for the printer that was chosen for use with ZEHRaster Plus. If the print queue has changed, use the ZEHRaster Plus CD to set a printer as described on the ZEHRaster Plus Installation card.



Finished processing file -- successfully submitted to print device. The print file has entered the print device queue and will be printed when the device is available.

You may now select another file for printing.



Processing cancelled. The user has clicked Cancel and stopped ZEHRaster Plus processing.


Error occurred generating intermediate processing files. ZEHRaster Plus was unable to generate the printer data necessary for successful print output.

Solution : Check the disk space available in the temp directory. If the directory is full, delete any unnecessary files and submit your file again. If the error message appears again, contact your HP or ZEH support group for assistance.



Unable to execute next processing pass. For reasons beyond its control, ZEHRaster Plus was unable to launch an application for a processing stage.


Not enough memory and/or disk space on system to preview image file. Some files (e.g., CGMs with thousands of elements or high resolution raster files) require large amounts of RAM or swap space in order to be previewed and/or printed.

In this case, you may be able to print the file although it cannot be viewed.

Solution : Increase the amount of RAM or the amount of disk space available to the temporary directory.
