Changing Passwords

User Access: All users.

Users can change only their own password from the SM Console. Manager-level users can change passwords for other users from the command line using the access update password command.

SM Console Usage:

Follow these steps to change your password:

  1. Click Access Control Change My Password from the menu bar.
  2. Enter your current password.
  3. Enter your new password.
  4. Re-enter your new password.
  5. Click the button.

SM Command Usage:

Users can update their own passwords, and manager-level users can update any user's password using access update password.
