Configuring Service Processor Date and Time Settings

User Access: Administrators and Managers: full access; All users: view current configuration (read only).

You can configure the date and time setting for the Service Processor clock.

The clock is automatically synchronized when platform drivers are installed. If the platform is running (and the drivers are installed) the platform time takes precedence over the Service Processor time. The platform time must be set correctly for ADS to function. However, if you are configuring the Service Processor prior to loading the platform operating system and need to set the time to synchronize with ADS and other network services, you can follow this procedure.

SM Console Usage:

Follow these steps to configure the Service Processor date and time settings:

  1. Click Configuration SP Date/Time from the menu bar.
  2. Identify the date and time of the Service Processor clock.
The current Service Processor time displays in yyyy:mm:dd hh:mm:ss format.
  3. Click the button to save the settings.

SM Command Usage:

You can also use the sp date subcommands to perform this function at the command line.
