Configuring the SSL Certificate

User Access: Administrators and Managers: full access; All users: view current configuration (read only).

You can enable or disable SSL encryption and also define the type of SSL certificate to use for managing message transmission security. SSL version 0.9.6j is supported.

SM Console Usage:

Follow these steps to configure the SSL Certificate:

  1. Click Configuration SSL Certificate from the menu bar.
  2. Select the radio button to designate SSL access as required or optional.
  3. If you chose required, select the radio button for the type of SSL certificate configuration you wish to use: either factory installed or your own in-house certificate management.
  4. If you chose User Supplied:
    1. Enter the name of your generated certificate file to be installed with Apache on the Service Processor or click the Browse button to search for a file.
    2. Enter the name of your generated key file to be installed with Apache on the Service Processor or click the Browse button to search for a file.
  5. Click the button.

SM Command Usage:

You can also use the sp ssl subcommands to perform this function at the command line.
