Viewing the Sensor Gauge

User Access: All users.

You can view a read-only graph of a set of values such as fan speed (in RPM), total power (in watts), and temperature (in degrees Celsius).

To view a graph of the sensor gauge, follow these steps:

  1. Click Management System Status or click the System Status button from the toolbar.
  2. In the system image, choose the type of sensor you wish to display from the Sensor pulldown menu in the top right corner of the image. Choose All to display all sensors.

  3. Click on the sensor for which you wish to view details.

The sensor gauge graph displays for the selected sensor. The illustration below shows the sensor gauges for components on the lower level of the server, such as microprocessors. You can select the Top tab to view sensors for components on the top level of the server, such as fans.

Points that fall within thresholds are highlighted. Green indicates normal, yellow indicates warning, and red indicates a critical range. The current value and unit of measure appear below the graphical image.

Information is also available for troubleshooting fan speed problems, power problems, and temperature problems.
