Using the Service Processor SSH Console

User Access: All users.

The Service Processor includes a suite of commands that enables management and monitoring of the system; this suite of commands is referred to as Systems Management Commands. From the command line, for instance, you can write data driven scripts that automate configuration of multiple machines.

You can log in to the Service Processor command line from any SSH client to perform troubleshooting tasks and execute SM commands. An SSH client is accessible from the SM Console for your convenience; however, you can use any SSH client you already have installed.

SM Console Usage:

To log in to the Service Processor from an SSH client:

  1. Click Troubleshooting SP SSH Console from the menu bar.
An SSH console displays in a separate window.
  2. Enter your username.
  3. Enter your password.
