INSTALL: 1. If you need to install 4.0.3sk on a 6MB/s drive you need to use the 4.1_PSR_A tape to load the miniroot and adjust the mount points appropriately. In addition you will need the new format.dat entries supplied in this patch for the new drive. After you have installed the system you should reboot it and install the format.dat from the patch tape. mv /etc/format.dat /etc/format.dat.orig cp etc/format.dat /etc/format.dat 2. If you need to install 4.0.3sr follow the same procedure as above and optionally do the following after SunOs has come up: cp 4.0.3sr/sun4/id.o /sys/sun4/OBJ cp 4.0.3sr/sun4/is.o /sys/sun4/OBJ cp 4.0.3sr/sun4/ipi.o /sys/sun4/OBJ Make a new kernel, install it and reboot the machine. This new IPI driver contains some fixes for minor problems found after 4.0.3SR was shipped.
