Problem Description: 

Applications issuing sense status commands to raw floppy devices may experience
problems in hanging after repetitive accesses of the floppy drive.  The
problem is experienced primarily on 4c systems containing the latest version
of Sony's floppy disk drive.  Applications using standard open commands
should not experience this failure. 

INSTALL:

As root ,

mv /sys/sun4c/OBJ/fd.o /sys/sun4c/OBJ/fd.o.fcs
cp sun4c/fd.o /sys/sun4c/OBJ/fd.o

  Rebuild and install a new kernel and reboot the system.
