The spc/s port, to which the modem is atached, is configured for dialin/dialout modem use. When the customer exits his cu session, the small glitch his modem produces on the DCD line is just enough to confuse the spc drivers. As a result, cu does not completely clean up its processes or lock file in /var/spool/locks. The cu receive (child) process exits, but the original transmit process is hung on a close. No error messages are produced. Other: This jumbo patch contains several other fixes. Install Instructions: The patch is in the form of the original product and cdmanger can be used to install this product. There is a README under the CDROM directory that has further information as how to install this software.
