This patch is not needed for Sun4m (4/6XX) class machines. Please note that Sun's Release of SunSNC Rev 1.0 is for support of the the Sun4m architecture. Customers who have purchased the NC400 product through Sun to run on 4/4XX class machines, cannot use SunSNC 1.0 release to upgrade their NC400 software. Problem Description: This patch is intended to fix various problems with the Sun Network Coprocessor running on Sun 4 systems under Release 4.1.2 of the SunOS. Install Instructions: **** NOTE ***** The directory in which you have loaded and from which you will do the installation must be writeable by root for the installation to work correctly. **** NOTE ***** If you are already running a version of the Sun Network Coprocessor you will need to deinstall that version prior to installing this patch. As root: 1) change to the appropriate installation directory for your system type. cd sun4/usr/etc/install/SNC 2) If you are running a prior version of Sun Network Coprocessor then deinstall that version by executing the deinstall command. ./deinstall 3) Install the patched version by executing the install command. ./install
