Under certain situation when doing a local backup using shared memory, the backup did not terminate due to a bug in the cleanup process. This bug have been fixed with this patch. NOTE: The NetBackup/Media Manager daemons should be stopped before installing this patch. Restart them after installing the patch successfully. Please note: This Patch includes the veritas patches : patch19, patch36, patch46, patch51, patch56, patch59, patch82 and patch97. 1. There is new functionality in Solaris2.6 that effects the behavior of NetBackup. The Solaris 2.6 release supports browsability of indirect automount maps. This allows all potential mounts points to be visible whether or not they are mounted. This includes the special map -hosts which typically has a mount point of /net. Note that even if the special map -hosts is browsable, xbp will only display hostname directories that are mounted. This new Solaris2.6 functionality can effect backups if / is being backed up and 'Follow NFS' is set to YES. This will cause all hosts to be backed up regardless of whether or not they were mounted at the time of the backup. Setting 'Cross Mount Points' to NO will prevent all the hosts from being backed up. 2. Make sure EBU can load the correct libobk by specifying appropriate library search path. Create link if necessary. Some version of EBU 2.1 have hard-coded path, (incorrectly) for example, an HP version only looks at /mnt/qa/qa06/obackup/lib and may not search the usual $SHLIB_PATH. When to apply: This patch should be applied only to systems running Solaris 2.4 thru 2.6 and using SENB 3.0
