Patch Installation Instructions: Refer to the Install.info file for instructions on using installpatch, backoutpatch, patchadd, and patchrm. For CMIP management, it is required that the latest version of the CMIP 8.2.1 patch, 104190-xx, be installed. In order to fix bugs 4077168 and 4085400, you must have at least version 104190-06. In order to fix bugs 4144401 and 4117024 you must have at least version 104190-09. Notes on Individual Bugs: 106288-06: 4267016 The compiled ASN1 files will start with 22. if you do em_services -r, it will start at 22 again. To start at a bigger number, provide this number in $EM_RUNTIME/data/MDR/EM_REFERENCED_MIB Make sure EM_RUNTIME is set prior to use em_cmib2gdmo 106288-03: 1256831 A new configuration option OK2_DELETE_CMIP_AGENTS has been added to .em_viewer.cf configuration file. To ensure that Solstice Enterprise Manager CMIP Agent Table entries are not deleted by user-initiated delete actions on topoNodes that contain the distinguished names of CMIP agents in attribute topoNodeMOSet OK2_DELETE_CMIP_AGENTS is set to "False". Setting OK2_DELETE_CMIP_AGENTS to "True" continues the viewer's current behavior when interacting with the CMIP agent table during em_viewer topoNode deletions. The default behaviour of the em_viewer is to treat this value as "False". The OK2_DELETE_CMIP_AGENTS option can only be set in the .em_viewer.cf configuration file. It cannot be set from the em_viewer menus. It can be modified before the em_viewer is started. Once started, this behavior of the viewer cannot be changed during the current execution of the em_viewer. It is recommended that users always leave this option set to "False". CMIP agent table entries are integral to the correct operation of many customer applications, and it is not recommended that the operation of the management system by lay users should affect the existence of the system's access to CMIP agents. 106288-02: 4092451 Some variables in EM-config need to be tuned to different values depending on the system EM is running on. Example: EM_MIS_RPC_REQ_TIMEOUT can be increased to 30000 and EM_MIS_RPC_REQ_RETRY can be set to 3. 4093143 Use the layout tool to set the number of columns to a bigger number. Example: 3000 toponodes can be displayed correctly on 30 columns. 106288-01: 4091225 Fix for bug 1228089 addresses this problem. 4129053 During the 2.0.1 FCS installation, any customized values given for MISNAME, MISPORT and MPAPORT, are not saved in S98cmipmpa because of a bug in the postinstall script. The S98cmipmpa needs to be edited manually with values other than the defaults. This problem cannot be fixed during the patch, as a patch can't be interactive, and thus can't re-ask the questions about MISNAME, MISPORT and MPAPORT to the user.
