BUGS RESOLVED:

The following section describes all the bugs fixed in this release. Bugs
are defined by Legato as product defects found internally by development
          engineering and test engineering.

          LGTpa19722,
LGTpa20743: If, at backup time, RMAN is set to

                               filesperset 2

or higher and subsequently a recovery is attempted of
less than the entire set in question, the recovery will
hang. The portion of the data set can include (but is
not limited to) the following types of files:
                          - A controlfile from a database backup
                          - One tablespace of several tablespaces that were stored
                            as a single save set

NOTE: If you back up a controlfile as part of a database
backup, be sure it is the latest controlfile for
                                that instance.

LGTpa18982: NSRNMOSTART.EXE correctly locates the RMAN binary on
Oracle8 for Windows NT as RMAN80.EXE, but fails to reset
a flag to this value when executing the RMAN binary, thus
causing scheduled backups on Oracle8 to fail.

INSTALL INSTRUCTIONS:

Before you update your software with this patch, complete a successful,
full, scheduled backup (not a manual backup) of all affected platforms.

Installation Instructions for all operating systems:

          1) Expand this patch into a temporary directory on the computer
where Legato NetWorker Module for Oracle version 3.0 is

          5) Rename each file that is to be replaced by a file in this
patch, using the .old extension. For example, in the /usr/lib
directory on Solaris, rename libnwora.so.1 to libnwora.so.1.old.
          6) Copy the files from this patch into the binaries directory.
          7) On UNIX systems, relink the Legato NetWorker Module for Oracle
library with Oracle according to the instructions in Chapter 2
