Patch Installation Instructions:

There are three (3) possible procedures for installing patches on Sun
Cluster 3.0.  The proper method to use and any additional instructions,
for this patch are specified below in the "Special Installation
Instructions" section.
 
Refer to the chapter entitled "Patching Sun Cluster Software and
Firmware" in the Sun Cluster 3.0 System Administration Guide for a
description of the different install processes and instructions on how
to install Sun Cluster 3.0 patches.
 
For Solaris 8 release, refer to the man pages for instructions on
using 'patchadd' and 'patchrm' scripts provided with Solaris.

Special Install Instructions:
-----------------------------
 
Install this patch using the patch install procedure for a
"Non Rebooting Patch" as described in the "Patching Sun Cluster
Software and Firmware" chapter of the Sun Cluster 3.0 System
Administration Guide.
 
   NOTE 01: The cluster must be stable and not reconfiguring when
            the patch is installed.
 
   NOTE 02: When installing this patch on Solaris 8, you must install
            patch 110648-14 (or newer) first.
 
            An attempt to install this patch without the prerequisite patch
            will cause an error message to be displayed and the patch will
            not install.
 
   NOTE 03: To get the complete fix for bug#'s 4636694 & 4642777,
            you need to install the following patches (or newer):
 
             112442-02 Sun Cluster 3.0: OPS w/CVM patch
             111857-02 Sun Cluster 3.0: OPS Core Patch
 
            This should be applied to all nodes of the cluster at the same
            time. The cluster nodes can be running in the cluster as long as
            no reconfiguration is in progress. The patch can also be applied
            in maintenance mode, and is preferable to do so if possible.
 
   NOTE 04: To get the complete fix for bug# 4812660, you need to also install
            the following patch (or newer):
 
                (for Solaris 8) 111857-08 Sun Cluster 3.0: OPS Core Patch
