Patch Installation Instructions:

Special Install Instructions:

2. - Server Remote installation instructions:
 
 To run installation of database clients (including local box if present).
 Run update_dbclients script located at /usr/openv/netbackup/bin.
 
 Example:
        update_dbclients <dbextension_name> -ClientList <filename>
 
         or
 
        update_dbclients <dbextension_name> <hardware_type> <operating_system>
 
If the 32-bit NetBackup DataBase Agent is currently installed,
the script /usr/openv/netbackup/bin/update_dbclients will report
in the trace file:
 
        Extension version files match - no update needed.
 
  The following is displayed to standard output:
 
        [N_number] client update(s) had up-to-date software according to
        the database extension version file.
 
        To force the installation of the database extension software
        for these client updates, you need to execute:
 
        update_dbclients -ForceInstall <dbextension_name> -ClientList <filename>
 
         or
 
        update_dbclients -ForceInstall <dbextension_name> <hardware_type> <operating_system>

      Run  /usr/openv/netbackup/dbext/install_dbext

Description:
    Lotus Notes backup failed for subdirectories of Domino Linked directories.
 
    While the problem is corrected in NetBackup, the fix also requires a fix 
    from Lotus that is scheduled to be included in both Lotus R5.0.13 and Lotus 
    R6.0.3. 
 
Additional Notes: 
    This fix also requires a fix from Lotus that is scheduled to be included in
    both Lotus R5.0.13 and Lotus R6.0.3.

Description: 
    Restoring a Lotus database using the NetBackup agent ended in error 259. 
 
Workaround: 
    No workaround is required.  This spurious error code is being generated 
    despite the fact that the Lotus database restore/recovery was completed 
    successfully.  In this case, the error code should be ignored.
