Sun Control Station 2.2 Patch 1 Installation Readme
===================================================
 
This archive contains a patch for Sun Control Station 2.2.
Included are the following files:
 
707e3e8ab62841f1c4a570d1a8ed4a5b  allstart-2.2-42.mapp
 
This patch can be installed one of two ways:
 
  a) via the SCS 2.2 graphical user interface
  b) via the moduleMgr command-line utility
 
 
 
a) Installing the Patch via the Graphical User Interface
--------------------------------------------------------
 
1. Log into the SCS administration interface.
 
2. Navigate to the Control Modules table (Administration->Modules).
 
3. Click the Add Module button.  The Add Module form is displayed.
 
4. Click the Browse... button and select the allstart-2.2-42.mapp file
   contained in this archive, stored on the local machine.
 
5. Click the Install Now button.
 
 
 
b) Installing the Patch via the moduleMgr Utility
-------------------------------------------------
 
1. Transfer the allstart-2.2-42.mapp file to a known location on the
   Control Station via scp, ftp, or other means.
 
2. Become the root user on the Control Station.
 
3. Invoke the moduleMgr.pl utility, providing the pathname to the
   allstart-2.2-42.mapp file as the argument to the -s option.  For
   example, if the allstart-2.2-42.mapp file is located within the
   /tmp directory, execute the following command:
 
        # /scs/sbin/moduleMgr.pl -s /tmp/allstart-2.2-42.mapp
 
   Information about the process of the patch installation will be
   displayed.
 
4. Remove the allstart-2.2-42.mapp file.  It is no longer needed.
