on using 'patchadd' and 'patchrm' scripts provided with Solaris.
Any other special or non-generic installation instructions should be
described below as special instructions.  The following example
installs a patch to a standalone machine:
 
       example# patchadd /var/spool/patch/104945-02
 
The following example removes a patch from a standalone system:
 
       example# patchrm 104945-02

NOTE:  1) If using patchadd:
 
          o download 121086-02 and any dependency patches (See above)
          o run 'patchadd <path>/121086-02' where <path> is the directory in which
            the patch resides.
 
            For additional examples please see the appropriate man pages for patchadd
            or patchrm. 
 
       2) If using the Sun Update Connection Update Manager or the Solaris 10 Patch Manager,
          including smpatch update: 
 
          These tools will install the patch(es) that this patch depends on, but will only 
          download this patch and will not automatically install it.
 
          Once downloaded by one of these tools, this patch can be installed using
          "smpatch add" as in the following example.
 
          # smpatch add -i 121086-02
