Please refer to the "McDATA E/OSn version 06.05.00 Release Notes" for more detail regarding other firmware downgrade considerations and limitations. Do not rename the firmware file or change the file name extension. Switch management software expects the firmware filename in a specific format. 3. Additional Notes: A. The switch or director is not required to be offline before performing the E/OSn 06.05.00 upgrade. An E/OSn upgrade is non-disruptive to attached devices. B. Before upgrading or downgrading the E/OS, it is highly recommended to back up the switch/director configuration in the event that a failure should occur. Refer to the first step under "Special Install Instructions" in this README file for details. C. It is recommended that other McDATA products in the same fabric, such as director/switch, have a minimum revision level of 8.00.00 for E/OS based products and 06.01.00 for E/OSn based products. D. It may take 10 to 15 minutes for the E/OSn upgrade process to complete. ************************************************************************************ ************************************************************************************ Revision History: Patch Installation Instructions: -------------------------------- This is not an OS patch and is not installed with the standard patchadd(1M) command.
