Patch Installation Instructions:

Notice:
   If you are using this release with the MTP product, this MBM patch release
   requires that you also use MTP patch id 122265-01 or later.
 
The procedure for installing a patch release differs slightly from the 
procedure for installing the Sun Mainframe Batch Manager software from a 
CD-ROM, as described in the Installation Guide.
 
To install a patch release
 
1. Create a staging directory on your system for the tar file 
   you will download from SunSolve. For example:
 
   mkdir /pkgs/mbm_patches
 
2. On SunSolve, select the patch and download it to the staging directory. Then
   uncompress the tar file with the command:
 
      uncompress 122266-01.tar.Z
 
3. If you have a previous installation of MBM, make a note of the unload
   directory, such as /mybatch, and continue to Step 4. If this is your first
   installation, follow the directions in the Installation Guide for setting up 
   the installation directory and extracting the files.
 
4. Change to the unload directory and untar the file. For example, type the 
   command:
 
   tar -xvf /pkgs/mbm_patches/122266-01.tar
 
   This command will unpack the MBM files into the following directory 
   structure:
 
   /mybatch/122266-01/MBM10.1.0p2/
 
   This README file will also be copied to the /mybatch/122266-01 directory.
 
   Refer to the /mybatch/122266-01/MBM10.1.0p2/docs/updated_user_doc.txt file
   for documentation updates.
 
5. Follow the directions in the Installation Guide for installing a node,
   configuring a license, and verifying the installation.
