Any other special or non-generic installation instructions should be described below as special instructions. The following example installs a patch to a standalone machine: example# patchadd /var/spool/patch/104945-02 The following example removes a patch from a standalone system: example# patchrm 104945-02 For additional examples please see the appropriate man pages. Special Install Instructions: ----------------------------- To get the complete fix for 6475248 & 6193524 you must also install patch 124968-01. Please note that the device monitoring configuration file is no longer /tmp/SunMC_DISABLETAPEMON, but is now /var/opt/SUNWsymon/cfg/Config-Reader.conf. This is a persistent config file that holds 'key=value' pairs to control tape and disk device monitoring. The current keys are "tapeMonitoring" and "diskMonitoring" and each can have a value of either "enabled" or "disabled". If the config file does not exist, it is automatically created when the domain agent is started, using the values specified during agent setup. Changes made to the config file take effect at the next data acquisition cycle, and the domain agent does not need to be re-started. Values specified in the config file override values specified during agent setup. README -- Last modified date: Tuesday, January 16, 2007
