When a process executes another process, inherited privileges are made effective in the new process.

Inherited privileges are made available in three ways:

- As the initial shell's default privileges.

- By being associated with commands through the Set Security Attributes dialog box.

- By being associated with rights through the Supplementary Privileges dialog box, which is available through the Supplementary Rights tab.
